Van Wagoner Small-Cap Growth Fund invests primarily in companies with market capitalizations that range from the smallest to the largest companies in the Russell 2000 Growth Index at the time of purchase. Van Wagoner Growth Opportunities Fund invests primarily in common stocks of growth companies that are leaders in their industry, but are also known as innovators in their field. Van Wagoner Emerging Growth Fund invests primarily in common stocks of small-cap and mid-cap companies. The Van Wagoner Funds are solely focused on growth stock investing. Each Fund seeks capital appreciation by investing primarily in the aggressive stocks of fast growing companies. These companies can range from very small, newly created companies with small market capitalizations to very large, established companies with large market capitalizations. The common trait is that they are all innovative companies developing new markets, products or services. They create new jobs, develop new industries and drive growth in the U.S. economy. We believe that the best opportunities for financial reward lie within these emerging companies. All Van Wagoner Funds are managed by following the same disciplined investment process, but they differ in their specific market capitalization and/or sector concentrations. The Van Wagoner Funds invests in types of companies that may present additional risks. The companies in which the Funds invest may be in a developmental stage or may be older companies undergoing significant changes. As a result, they may be subject to greater business risks and more sensitive to changes in economic conditions than larger, more established companies.
